We are pleased to name Terry Bauer as Chief Executive Officer who will continue the growth and services expansion well underway at Specialdocs.
Bauer’s career includes a long tenure as co-founder, president, CEO and director of Orion HealthCorp, and later, as CEO of Bauer Health, LLC. Most recently, he was a principal and strategy practice leader at Portland, ME and Atlanta, GA based healthcare consulting firm Stroudwater Associates. He has served on the Board of Directors of Specialdocs since Shore Capital Partners made its investment in the firm in the fall of 2015.

Bauer’s vision of concierge medicine as a sustainable model for healthcare’s future began in 1999 when he was first introduced to the sector by industry pioneers, and his interest in the business continued to grow over the years. In 2013, he served as the first Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate School of Business, where he led a team of select MBA, MHA and law school students focused on creating an innovative strategic plan to enter the membership medicine industry.
“I have spent years watching the healthcare industry evolve, working with physicians and seeing their frustration with diminishing reimbursement and increasing demands on managing a practice,” he said. “Concierge medicine offers hope.
