Specialdocs Discusses Concierge Medicine with Newsday

A recent article exploring the concierge medicine in the New York area featured insights on the model’s viability and growth from Specialdocs CEO Terry Bauer. ‘Special Doc’ Jeff Puglisi, MD, Glenville Medical Concierge Care in Greenwich, CT, also offered his thoughts on why concierge medicine will increasingly be viewed as affordable care and a valued benefit to offer employees. He told Newsday: “At the end of the day, the more we talk about affordable care, the more people will look inward, and when they decide what the most important thing to pay for is, health care is going to be at the top of the list. My hope is, in time, health savings accounts can be a vehicle to make it even more affordable, and employers should look at offering this as a benefit. It would be a great way to attract new talent.”
