Dr. Chris Stringer describes his journey to concierge medicine

“My wife who is a champion for me and for our six kids and our family, knew that I was burning the candle at both ends,” says Dr. Christopher Stringer. “I would have dinner, go upstairs and work until one a.m., get up at six and do it all over again.”

The essence of a concierge practice is to maintain wellness, identify problems early, listen to patients and pay attention to them.

Although the model seemed at first too good to be true, Dr. Stringer says, “the transition [to concierge medicine with Specialdocs Consultants] was not difficult at all, we had people sign up right away.”

Specialdocs’ relationships with his staff, billing systems, and newsletters were all professional and have allowed Dr. Stinger to continue to do what he loves.

“I can continue to do what I love,” he says. “It’s why I went into practice in the first place.”

Revolutionary Journeys to Concierge Medicine is a video series, presented by Specialdocs Consultants, depicting the paths of several physicians who’ve transitioned from traditional practice to a concierge model practice.

In their own words, the physicians illustrate the continuing challenges of the traditional practice model and how they were able to make a successful transition to concierge medicine.
